Get Your 2023 Flu Vaccine

Deadline to submit documentation is
Monday, Nov. 27, 2023, at 5 p.m.

WashU employees who work at a WUSM location or in a WUSM hybrid position, or are Danforth employees at Habif, MHS or WUPD, are required to be vaccinated against the flu.

Most Danforth Campus employees are encouraged to receive the vaccine, but it is not required.

Note: You received an email on Sept. 12 that indicated if you are required to receive the vaccine.


For medical or religious exemptions, please review our policy and obtain your paperwork in the WashU Flu Shot Policy. Exemptions must be submitted by Nov. 13, 2023, at 5 p.m.

For School of Medicine employees reporting to their work site in a clinical department


Flu Shot Policy

WashU School of Medicine employees who work on a WUSM campus or in a hybrid position, including faculty, staff and trainees, must receive this year’s influenza vaccination, unless granted an exemption for medical reasons or religious beliefs.

Danforth Campus employees are expected to receive the vaccine, but it is not mandated.

Upload documentation in Workday

As of Feb. 23, regardless of which vaccination location you decide, you will need to upload documentation into Workday, which can be accessed from anywhere including a mobile device. Read a step by step tutorial to upload documentation online.
