Initiated by students and implemented with support from the Office of Medical Student Education (OMSE), the Distinguished Faculty Awards recognize outstanding achievements in clinical care, community service, research and teaching and allow students to express their appreciation for the efforts, dedication, and patience of their educators. The awards are co-sponsored by the Dean’s office, the Office of Faculty Affairs, Central Administration and the Executive Committee of the Faculty Council.

This year’s award ceremony honored the educators who distinguished themselves in the academic year 2020-2021 of the Legacy Curriculum and in the first-ever Phase 1 of the Gateway Curriculum.
